The easiest way to explain EFT is to say that it is a kind of acupressure for the emotions. EFT utilizes the meridians, which are channels of energy running throughout the body, and certain points on those meridians. Unlike acupuncture which uses needles to stimulate these points, or acupressure which applies pressure to the points, EFT stimulates the points by tapping on them with your finger tip.
The entire procedure is accomplished in a minute or less and can be administered on yourself and with others. Although it isn't perfect, EFT typically enjoys a success rate of over 85%. Tapping into the power of EFT you can shift yourself from feelings of anxiety, powerlessness, anger, frustration, overwhelm and stress… to hope, optimism, happiness, confidence and gratitude.
WHERE DID EFT COME FROM?
Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT is a relatively new discovery based on ancient healing principles over 5,000 years ago, from the ancient Chinese Shoalin and Taoist monasteries.
The Eastern healing arts of acupuncture, acupressure, shiatsu massage and reflexology, amongst others, were derived from the energy maps established by these early healers.
The EFT process also draws important influence, especially for deep emotional and psychological issues, from the many people who have contributed over the ages to the understanding of human psychology.
More recently, this amazing therapy owes much to the work of Dr George Goodheart, the founder of Applied Kinesiology, and Dr Roger Callahan the founder of TFT Thought Field Therapy.
It was in the early ‘90s that one of Dr Callahan's former students, the charismatic Gary Craig, simplified the complicated TFT algorithms and made the process universally applicable for all. After stimulating the body’s well established energy meridian points by tapping on them with ones fingertips, mental, emotional and physical issues successfully clear away emotional debris in the form of blocks in the energy meridians. Thus EFT was born.
Gary Craig now dedicates himself to spreading the word by making EFT accessible to everyone through his seminars and teaching videos. Gary Craig’s website is a huge source of information about EFT.
Good emotional and physical health is in our hands.
In the words of Gary Craig –
“Eft is the missing piece in the healing puzzle”
'EFT is the missing is the missing piece to the healing is the missing piece

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. While Claire Hayes is a fully trained EFT and Shiatsu practitioner with full UK professional insurance, she is not a licensed doctor and offers EFT as a personal performance coach. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
